Does anybody here own it? Honestly how is it? I was thinking about renting it first. I never tried any of the other R&C games on my PS2. Can anybody give me a non-biased review of this game? It looks great, but I dont play platform games that much. Metacritic has this game rated at 90. Thats a damn good score. I might just have to see what the hype is all about.
Just dont know if I should upgrade my videocard and memory on my PC, wait for the PS3 version, or wait even longer for the 360 version. I wish there was a way to know which version was going to be the best. Does anybody know if the PC version will be online compatable with either the PS3 or 360?
But I thought the graphics were good, and the game was fun. I like to view all the scores on Metacritic, ask a few people who already bought the game, and then if I still have my doubts I will rent the game first.
My point is that reviews are always subjective and as such should not be the sole reason behind why you purchase a game or not. Besides I have seen many a movie that got crappy reviews and was glad I didnt listen to these so called movie critics. Consumers speak with...
It's a shame that Japan doesnt accept the 360. It's an even bigger shame that Japan doesnt accept "Western" games. Whether they are on the PS3 or 360 "Western" games tend to be shunned by the Japanese. The only thing that matters is that Japanese developers continue to support the 360 and the PS3. Consumers all over the world will choose which console they like, but at the end of the day in order for developers to make money they have to expand thier games to as big of an ...
I liked the gameplay in PES alot better, but FIFA seemed to have better graphics to me, not just in the player models, but the grass, stadiums, etc...
That being said I would choose PES over FIFA every time. This is coming from a graphics wh*re.
Last time I checked this guy has legitimate hands on experience programming for both the PS3 and 360. Every single person in this forum including myself can't say that. I'm glad he spoke his opinion. Maybe it will help some of us better understand why multiplatform games shine on the 360 in comparison to the PS3. Having hands on experience with both consoles I can honestly say that they both are pretty comparable in the graphics department. Both consoles will have good exclusive games that th...
Bladestar I agree with you. This is going to be a long drawn out format war just like Betamax and VHS was. Neither side is going to give in to the other, studio support is split, and the adoption rate is so slow due to the cost of the hardware to play the HD movies, the higher cost of HD movies, and the fact that you need an HDTV that does 1080P to get the maximum performance out of these HD movies.
I know alot of people who dont have HDTV's or else they bought an HDTV in the p...
Congratulations Microsoft.
All fanboy hate aside. You have to admit Microsoft is a real player in these so called console wars. They may have made mistakes in designing the console, rushed the launch, and still arent selling worth a damn in Japan. But the bottom line is the 360 is the market leader right now. Wii may be selling more hardware, PS3 is selling Blu-Ray movies, but the 360 outsells the Wii and PS3 combined when it comes to software. Thats why the 360 is starting to...
Actually the 360's lead on the PS3 is 7 million and growing every day.

I'm sure both Microsoft and Sony have taken note of this and are making moves to fix the situation in thier favor. Thanks for caring.
The only sound I hear is the sweet chimes my 360 plays when I first turn it on and I am at the dashboard. Nice try though. You fail.
The fact that you still have bubbles amazes me. Stop spamming these forums with your anti Microsoft FUD. Its pathetic. We all know Microsoft makes billions of dollars in net profit every quarter. So they can afford to lose money on thier gaming division. I am curious to see whether they start making money in 2008 like they said they would.
I agree. I have a 1080P HDTV and I still havent upgraded to Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. DVD's are fine for me right now. Besides I would hate to be the person who chose one format over the other and ended up with this generations "Betamax". It will take a few years for a HD optical format winner to emerge. The biggest problem is that the studios are divided on both formats. Some exclusively support Blu-Ray, some exclusively support HD-DVD, while others support both.
The bigge...
I think that any of us who has tried both Xbox Live and PSN will agree that Xbox Live is superior. As the saying goes. You get what you pay for. As for this game not supporting PSN as much as it does Live. I figure hosting your own server and having such a wide open service would make things expensive and unattractive for a 3rd party developer wanting to enable online play for a PS3 game.
Actually they are last gen because its for the PSP.
Lets all just hope that EA puchased Bioware with the idea of sitting in the background and being the publisher and making profit. As long as the only thing that changes about Bioware games is the name EA somewhere on the packaging we should be cool.
Wow. The 360 outsold the Wii for the third straight week. Thats impressive. Halo 3 sold another 500,000 copies in the US. I cant believe how many people bought NBA Live 2008. I played demos for both NBA 2K8 and NBA Live 2008, and NBA 2K8 was way better IMHO.
I am curious as to how the 40GB SKU will be received in the US. PS3 sales in the US are seriously lagging, I would have thought as we got closer to the holidays that sales would increase. Do you guys think maybe people are ...
I am glad Sony is releasing a new SKU for the equivalent of $400.00 It's a good move on thier part regardless of whether it was out of desperation to compete with the Wii and 360 or reduced manufacturing costs.
I honestly dont think that $400.00 is a mass market price. The 360 isnt moving as many consoles as it could mostly due to price IMHO. It has been around $400.00 for the past 2 years till just recently. Neither the 360 or PS3 are selling as well as they should be right no...
BenzMoney: That was the post of the day. Very nice rebuttal and you didnt once throw around a personal insult or attack any of the consoles. You definetly need more bubbles.
I think it is still to early to declare a winner. Last time I checked only 1% of all home movie sales was in HD format. So Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are fighting a format war that will last a few years if not longer and may not even see a clear winner. Then you have to wonder if and when a winner is declared how long it will take before people upgrade form DVD to HD-DVD/Blu-Ray. Heck I know people who still havent upgraded from VHS to DVD.
The thing to keep in mind is most people stil...
I remember playing SFII on the SNES. Everybody and thier mom wanted to borrow that game from me. Heck my best friend stole it from me for 1 weekend so they could get some practice in because I was owning them with Dhalism. I remember Yoga Spear followed with a Yoga Noogie. They jump in I kick them, they move in I slide kick them. Once people learned how to use Guile and Ken/Ryu my dominance came to an end. Both consoles had thier shining moments. But no game got as much playing time and was m...
